Route 66 Cruisers Car Club Meeting Minutes- Barbara Kelsey Route 66 Cruisers Car Club Secretary.
July 6th, 2014

The Route 66 car club meeting was called to order by President Ted Hancock
At 5:00 pm at the Will Rogers Downs.

President Ted Hancock announced that the Truck that we were fixing up was
sold. He also announced that we have two guest who would like to have a
few of our cars at their events.

The Treasurers report was given and was approved as read.
The Recorder read the minutes from the previous meeting and approved as
corrected.

President Ted Hancock thanked everyone who came to the Fireworks Display
at the Racetrack. He said that a few made it over to the Town Village. He had
a note from the Little Light House. They are going to have a car show. For
the first seventy-five cars they will get a free lunch. They will have six
certificates for twenty-five dollars. The entry fee will be twenty dollars or educational
toys. It will be on October 25th.

President Ted Hancock introduced Eric Cancer from DW Carroll’s car museum.
Eric said that they would like for us to come on out and bring a few cars and
eat a little ice-cream. It will be held August 9th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. It
was announced that it will be on the web site. Sharon Coldren suggested
that we make a cruise out of it. President Ted Hancock asked her to be in
charge of it.

He introduced Donna Lee and Jimmy Lee with the Oklahoma Honor Flight.
Ted asked Delbert Tygart to help tell about the Honor Flights. The Honor
Flights costs five hundred dollars per veteran. Jerry Henry moved to send
two veterans on flights, seconded and approved.

Jerry Henry works for Baker Hughes and they are having their 5 year cele-
bration Saturday July 26th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Free hot dogs and
hamburgers. He invited the car club to come at 11:00 am to?

Vice President Terry Haddock announced that he is still working on the
T-Shirts.

Dwayne Caldwell announced that he went around before the meeting and
got some names on his list for workers for the car show. He said that Sharon
will have it on e-mail and if you want to help e-mail her.
He said that a new steak house in Catoosa called the I Don’t care Steak House and Grill.
They gave us 150 Frisbee’s.
The next car show meeting will be July 17th at 6:30
at the lake. He announced that the Band will be $650.00 this year and if
there is a forecast of rain a week before the show that the band will be
cancelled. President Ted Hancock asked for vote and it was approved.

Betsy McClenton suggested for our donations to the food shelter that we
have a food drive. Vice President Terry Haddock suggested that we bring
nonperishable food at our cruise-in on July 25th.

President Ted Hancock announced that Nelda Conger has reserved the
Civic Center on Friday December 12th for our Christmas Party.

He said that Jerry Henry will get a summer or fall picnic for the club.
